spring break

I have been away from my computer for some time now beacause of a spring break! I went to southern france to enjoy some lovely weather, lots of sparkling fibrant colors, and lots of peace and tranquility. I am gathering some stuff to start new art projects but it will probably take some time before I can show them to you as my digital camera broke down for the 3rd time... so please be patient with me....

affraid of loosing it

Have had the flu last week and wasn't up to much. I always hate doing nothing and at the end of the week I was getting this fretful feeling I always get when I haven't been doing any artwork for sometime. I get this feeling I might have "lost it". That after a week or so I might have lost the power or knowledge to make any art again... That all pieces I work on in future will not come out right, or that nothing will come anyway... Silly me. So when I got up I started messing up my workspace again and started playing on new collages on plywood, you know the plywood with the holes in it I have mentioned earlier. I just need to find some time to finish them.

I am a bit chaotic when I do my collages. I just need to have everything to hand, so my worktable is usually filled with pictures, embellishments, lots of fibers ( I am completely addicted to them) paint and brushes that need to be cleaned... When it comes to glueing all down I sweep the table clean, well actually I clean up a square foot and try very hard to get the glue or medium just on the collage pieces. Well, I never seem to succeed... At the end of the day it takes effort to strip the worktop from glue and paint and sticky things anyhow.

I finished one of the collages yesterday. I have changed the lay-out a bit, played with some chicken-wire and some rust paint and voilà... It always is somekind of a surprise how a work turns out at the end, but I just love the colors, the paperwork and the bunled of dangling fibers at the side.

Got up at 5 a.m. this morning to work on some collages. I found these really funny shaped plywood pieces, they are all irregular shaped and some have holes cut to them.
I covered them with this beautiful paper I ordered lately and I will be adding lace, vintage fabric, some rusty hardware pieces and some of my lovely fibers. They will have a nice vintage "granny" look over them. When the first collages are ready I will put them up for sale at my etsy store.

Hi,

haven't been publishing new work lately. My dital camera broke for the second time in row so I could't get any pictures.... I have been very bussy with some collage on canvas. I have put them up for sale at etsy.com just now.
